Souktel Follows Wikipedia & Facebook Founders, Presents at Blouin Creative Leadership Summit

Launched in 2006, the Blouin Creative Leadership Summit aims to stimulate discussion around globalization–by bringing together experts to tackle issues ranging from economic growth to environmental degradation. This year, Souktel is honored to take part in the Summit’s panel events, sharing its work in the area of poverty reduction–as the Middle East’s first service to link youth with jobs via mobile phone.

Held just before the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting, and just after the opening of the UN General Assembly, the Blouin Summit has always attracted key thought leaders from both events–bringing these luminaries together for engaging conversations in an intimate setting. Last year, delegates included Arianna Huffington of The Huffington Post, Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes, and Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales.

As in past years, the 2011 Summit brings together thought leaders from around the world, with the hope that each will bring awareness to new global issues–while challenging traditional perspectives. “Our goal will be to demonstrate how mobile technology can be a catalyst for economic growth,” explains Souktel co-founder Jacob Korenblum. “We’ll be sharing our experience from the Middle East and East Africa, two regions where we believe our mobile JobMatch service has helped reduce unemployment and connect workers with meaningful jobs”.

The summit will take place in New York from Sept. 19 to 20, 2011. For more information, click here.
