Just a couple of weeks prior to the Blouin Creative Leadership Summit, Souktel will also be sharing its work in Washington, D.C. at another key event: The Global Youth Economic Opportunities Conference, hosted by Making Cents International from Sept. 7 to 9.
At this conference, on a panel with top executives from Intel, Souktel will be speaking about “How Technology is Causing Breakthroughs in Youth Economic Opportunity.” Focusing on practical action, Souktel aims to give a “how-to” overview for practitioners in the audience–most of whom deliver financial and employment services for youth, through projects financed by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) or funds like the Mastercard Foundation.
“This conference brings together an amazing group of people who serve youth in emerging markets across the globe,” explains Kristen Roggemann, Souktel’s Team Leader for Partnerships. “Many of them want to get a better understanding of how they can incorporate mobile tech into their work”.
She adds: “For us, having supported large non-profits like World Vision and UN agencies like UNDP over the past 5 years, we’re in a unique position to share ‘do’s and don’ts’ about how mobile technology can be applied to youth economic development. We hope our insights will be useful!”
